Virginia's Insurance Marketplace applicants who receive a notice that they are potentially eligible for Medicaid do NOT need to submit another application through CoverVA. Their initial application submitted through Virginia's Insurance Marketplace will be transferred to the Department of Medical Assistance Services for a Medical Assistance eligibility determination. The local Department of Social Services will review their application and may request additional verification from the individual if necessary to make a final eligibility determination.
