Terminating Your Coverage
If your coverage has already started, you can prospectively terminate your coverage at the end of the current month or the month following your termination request. You will be responsible for paying your premiums through the month in which your coverage ends.
You may terminate your dental coverage without terminating your health coverage.
Dependents enrolled on a dental policy that includes adult coverage will be automatically disenrolled at the end of the month in which they turn 19.
If you have other coverage starting outside of the Marketplace, such as gaining employer coverage, you must terminate coverage at the end of the month before your new coverage begins. For example, if your employer coverage is effective May 1st, you must cancel your Virginia Insurance Marketplace plan by April 30th.
