If you do not have health insurance, recently lost coverage, or know that your current coverage will end within the next 60 days, Virginia's Insurance Marketplace may be able to help.
-
If you recently lost health coverage, including job-based coverage, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) that allows you to enroll in coverage through Virginia's Insurance Marketplace.
Visit www.marketplace.virginia.gov and click the Get Covered button to get started. If you qualify, your Virginia's Insurance Marketplace coverage can begin on the first day of the month after you apply and enroll.
-
If you know that you will lose coverage within the next 60 days, you can submit an application at www.marketplace.virginia.gov before your current coverage ends to help ensure that you remain covered.
For example, if you know that you will lose coverage on February 28 and you apply and enroll in a plan on February 10, your new coverage can begin on March 1.
-
If you experience a significant reduction in income, you may be able to enroll in coverage through Virginia's Insurance Marketplace with financial assistance to help lower your costs.
Visit www.marketplace.virginia.gov and click the Get Covered button to begin the application process and find out whether you qualify.
